Tertiary and education fund
We are committed to supporting students to acquire knowledge and life skills through school, vocational training or university studies.
Our Tertiary & Community Education Fund works to improve the literacy, health and economic wellbeing of children through education, vocational skills and pathways to work.
This fund targets children who are living in the community but need financial assistance to access educational opportunities. We see this as the best way to lift individuals and communities out of poverty.
To date, AFADU has provided tertiary education scholarships to five of AFADU’s resident children.
The fund and scholarships covered all the costs of living and university. Solomon completed his veterinary studies and is now working as a vet.
Sam completed a teaching degree and is now giving back to LCV by teaching at the LCV school.
Two of our star pupils are currently studying teaching and science at Great Zimbabwe University.
While only 20% of the cost of a university place in Australia it still costs a lot to send a young person away to board at university.
Can you help us cover the $8,500 Australian dollars per year it costs to put each of these young people through University?
You’d be investing in the future of the country.
