Kim is a young man who came from Chiredzi approximately 145km North East of LCV in Chikombedzi, Zimbabwe.
With the help of Ezelle from LCV, he was able to get a sponsor to allow him to get his A levels, which in turn allowed him to go to university in South Africa to study engineering.
Ezelle and the sponsor she found for Kim helped him through his A Levels. He came to SA to study engineering on a different bursary.
Unfortunately his bursary was not able to continue sponsoring him and he had to defer his studies. Realising his abilities and potential, the university took him on and gave him a job where Kim is now working at the Joburg Centre for Software Engineering, Wits University.
Kim has been helping LCV producing a website and video and is now ‘the man on the ground’ assisting AFADU with its website maintenance, content development and social media management.
It’s great seeing a local man working with AFADU, giving back to the local community, and we appreciate all his help.
